Noritus QSS-3501
Spec:
At PMA 2006, a 4 day event held from the 26th of February to the 1st of March in Orlando, Florida USA, Noritsu Koki is proud to unveil the QSS-3501 and QSS-3502, which are compact and versatile new minilabs. QSS-35 series minilabs have a wealth of practical features that meet today's needs, such as the new Easy Operation GUI and the excellent print quality made possible with Noritsu's "AccuSmartT" image processing technology. Furthermore, the selection of film scanners, and the ability to choose the system layout and operating position enable you to customize this compact and convenient system to effectively meet your needs.
Features
1. Flexible layout
The QSS-3501/3502 can be operated standing up or sitting on a highchair. You can add up to 4 optional extension tables (shelves) in various positions as needed, and you can choose which side to operate the machine from, giving you more freedom to use the system in a way that best fits your available floor space.
2. ¡°AccuSmart™¡± image processing technology employed
Noritsu Koki¡¯s AccuSmart? technology enables you to easily portray the natural beauty of the scene as viewed by the photographer when the picture is taken. AccuSmart? produces optimal results by faithfully portraying the original scene with automatic image processing, and also allowing fine adjustments to be applied as desired by the customers. This advanced technology not only provides superb quality for well photographed images, it also applies appropriate correction to less-than-perfect shots, resulting in extremely high quality prints regardless of the image source.
3. A selection of film scanners
With the QSS-3501/3502, you have two film scanners to choose from. The S-4 supports a wide variety of film including 120, and the S1-II supports only 135 and IX240 film. You can also choose not to add a scanner, and instead use the QSS-3501/3502 as a stand-alone printer.
4. New ¡°Easy Operation¡± GUI for the order menu
This new GUI displays the print channels in icons which are organized into tabs. This user-friendly setup makes it easy ¨C even for part-time employees and beginners ¨C to select the right channel and make prints. For those who prefer the original QSS GUI, the Easy Operation GUI can be disabled, and it is possible to switch back and forth between the two GUIs whenever desired.
5. New user-friendly GUI for start up checks/close down checks
Actual photographs are used when describing the steps that need to be taken. Warnings messages and other written instructions are easy to locate and read.
6. Auto daily setup
You can set the program timer so that daily setup is performed automatically, so when the operator comes in to the lab in the morning he can begin printing right away.
7. Setup prints taken care of automatically
The colorimeter is built into the processor. This enables the setup print to be automatically inserted into the colorimeter after it comes out of the dryer unit, eliminating the need for manual operations.
8. CAU (Compact Archive Unit) and Order Controller are standard features
The CAU and the Order Controller are installed in QSS-35 minilabs as standard items. The Order Controller works in conjunction with the CAU to enhance print efficiency by managing all orders input with the QSS and networked terminals. It enables you to set the print priority level of each order, freely move orders up and down in the order queue screen, and interrupt an order being printed to give preference to a separate order that needs to be printed right away.
9. Can upgrade the capacity
You can give your machine a higher capacity by converting it into a QSS-3502.
10. Rapid processing
When purchasing a QSS-35 minilab you can specify a rapid processing system which uses specified chemicals to achieve a reduced processing time. The total dry-to-dry processing time is reduced to a mere 91.3 seconds, opening the door for an on-the-spot print service where the customers can drop off their media and pick up their prints a single visit.
NoteOnly specified chemicals and paper can be used.
11. Prints up to 610mm (24 inches) long
The maximum paper advance length for the QSS-3501/3502 is 610mm (standard), making it possible to provide a wide variety of print services. The maximum print size is 210 x 610mm.
12. Dual magazine system (Factory option)
The optional dual magazine system enables labs that make various size prints to set multiple paper sizes at the same time. Magazine changes are quick and easy.
13. High-tech laser engine
The high quality laser engine produces sharp and vivid silver halide prints of 300dpi.
14. An array of options
Many options are available for the QSS-35 series, including the MD-1, QSS Kids, and CD/DVD writers.
